it was a noble fight, but in the end, i have been beaten.
this weekend i set out to get this cursed belt game to work in the dynamic splendor it was meant to have, but it was an uphill fight i never saw the top of. while i could get one belt working and intialized fine, bringing anymore of these dynamic monstrosities in crippled the functionality of the other belts and did a number to the processer causing some freaky behavior for all components of the game. after some rounds of error checking i am resolved the error is too deep and my own knowledge to shallow, so with regret, i am redesigning it hardcoded and simple.
The game will now be more of a "matching in sequential order" game in which the player drags a series of target gears to targets and most do them in the right order to complete the chain correctly. While not the ideal, the game will retain the same goal of its previous incarnate except i will be able to program this one.
Good news on the front of the script though- got the goal based script hints done – so we are complete with all in game text, save for a possibly and intro. yeah!!! writing easy! Coding not!!
