Ok so I did a couple things, first off I made the 'start' screen which will be used to launch the game and it will also default back to that after the trailer (this happens on the website). Additionally – this screen, minus the title and character, will be used as the presentation backdrop. Dual purposes for the win!

Here is the background

Second I did a couple additional animations, the old man handing over the belt is one of these – the other is the robot orderly dragging the main character away (to whatever the next minigame is) – this is almost done, needs tweaks. DONE

Here is a link to the old man.

here is an update of what the security office will look like, nothing has been implemented yet so that means touching things will be pointless, however the lights will be intialy off and you will need to turn them on plus you’ll get to play with stuff on the desk and in the filing cabnet, I will need to work on the colors sceme since tranfering it into flash mx negates all the filters i added to in using flash 8

and this here is the bust from the fifth floor hallway that will hold the button required to open the basement, it does nothing at the moment but make the head pop to reveal the button

okay so ive got a working zoom function, though it still has a bug (when insane) which can be fixed. it can be seen on the latest first floor's blue bursting pipe.

secondly ive been trying to get the environments to stay as is when going back and forth. ex: if the pipe is burst, user leaves hallway then returns, pipe should remain burst (until the start of a new day). this is currently working for the 1st floor hallway. the next step would be to make the camera start in the proper location, but i think this will be tied to the character movement script.

finally, im working on making this world connected via the elevators. my plan is to make a script that loads the elevator swf, then from there the user selects up or down. the correct level would be loaded at that point (right now as a test, the 1st floor elevator simply goes straight to the 3rd). however, we need everyones .fla files. if you could, up them to "Y:\_CaSh MoNeY (no h4×0rz plz k thx)\environment files". i need your various environments (each floor, elevator, boiler room, gondola, etc) along with all finished, shaded characters.

update: the 1st, 3rd, and 5th floors are now connected through a rudimentary elevator system.

So I had to make a little minigame for a CS 345 homework assignment and I figured as long as I had to, I might as well do something useful, so I've got our little balance minigame worked out pretty well, it needs some tweaking and different win/loss conditions for our purposes, as well as graphics from our game, but the controls and the wobbling and balancing are all there. Check it out here.
